Last month, The Wine Spectator featured "8 Exciting West Coast Whites at 90+ Points," and one of our favorites for the price was the Seven Hills Columbia Valley Sauvignon Blac 2022. This wine first hit our radar back in 2021 when the current vintage was a "Wine of the Week," and we generally don't drink a lot of Sauvignon Blanc from Washington State. We'd previously had their Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, some sold to Pepper Bridge for their Bordeaux like nature, so Sauvignon Blanc wasn't a huge leap. Glad we did, as this alluring white showcases expressive orange blossom, peach and lemon flavors. Medium bodied with flavors of grapefruit, lemon panna cotta, and a refreshing, lingering citrus finish with a touch of mango. Ideal drinking is now, paired with grilled asparagus, goat cheese, and halibut with a lemon caper sauce!
"Steely and refreshingly tart, with lemon verbena, melon and honeysuckle accents that zip along the finish. Drink now. 8,940 cases made." The Wine Spectator, 90 Points
