Only Ramey has the connections and resources to pull together Chardonnay from the top vineyards in Sonoma. Four Dutton Ranches Vineyards (Perry, Mengle, Sebastopol & Mill Station); Martinelli’s Laughlin Road Vineyard; Westside Farms; and two Rochioli Vineyards (Allen & River). A warm year produced some of the best wines the Russian River had ever seen, and David's ability to source from the cooler sites kept the alcohol in check but let the wine shine. 12 months in French oak barrels sur lies, gives that classic Ramey buttered texture and richness, balanced by the wines natural acidity.
"Stunning and powerful, with mouthwatering lemon curd, lime blossom and mandarin orange flavors, plus fresh-grated ginger and lemon verbena. Shows sea salt minerality that gains momentum on the finish, where grace notes of toasted green tea, citrus zest and white pepper linger." The Wine Spectator, 94 Points
