Los Bocheros is an exciting new project from famed Argentine winemaker Hector Durigutti and Guillermo Garcia Lamadrid of the award winning Lamadrid Winery. Durigutti makes the best value wine in Argentina and is also the genius behind two other popular Wine Buyer labels: Alma de los Andes and Clos d'Argentine. Sourced from estate vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo and the Uco Valley, these two sub-regions within Mendoza offer a perfect growing climate of warm days and cool nights. This phenomenon allows the grapes to achieve excellent fruit and tannin concentration, which is responsible for the wine's structure. Aged in French oak, this rich red is loaded with jammy cassis and blueberry flavors, woven together with layers of floral and cedar notes.
"A pretty Malbec with aromas and flavors of cherries and hints of stones and fresh herbs. Medium-bodied, soft and delicious. Drink now." James Suckling, 91 Points
"With Héctor Durigutti as winemaker - when does this guy find time to sleep? - it’s no surprise that this deeply coloured, lightly wooded Agrelo Malbec delivers such impressive value for money. Fresh, supple and full of bramble and red berry fruit, it’s a textbook commercial Malbec with velvety tannins and bright acidity. 2021-23" Tim Atkin MW, 90 Points
"Cool berry aromas include notes of brick dust and cola, while this feels fresh, pure and controlled. Blackberry, chocolate and coffee flavors hold form on a juicy finish that's balanced and full of energy." The Wine Enthusiast, 90 Points
