Almost everyone has heard of the phrase "Super Tuscan," a term coined by Robert Parker in the 1970's but have you ever heard of a Super Venetian? One of our top selling Italian wineries is Casa Vinicola Botter, from the northern Italian wine region of the Veneto. Their Veramente Rosso carries an IGT designation, hence Super Venetian, and is a blend of two Italian varietals: Negroamaro and Primitivo. More fruit forward than the Tuscan version, this creamy red takes a modern tack, with mocha and spice accents to the pureed boysenberry fruit, dark extraction, and bright aromas of ripe blackberry and creme de cassis. The finish is velvety rich and slightly sweet, and while the Veramente clocks in at 16.0% alochol, does not feel heavy or hot, just vibrant and modern with huge aromatics and lush fruit notes. 98 Points & Voted Italy's Best Red, don't miss this only $10.99 a bottle!

Luca Maroni: 98 Points

"Deep, bright red with purple nuances. A penetrating bouquet, it opens with fruity aromas and red berry jam flavors evolving into a palate of spices and tobacco. Rich and dense with well-defined tannins, balanced with a natural roundness. Its velvety elegance is fully revealed in the finish." Luca Maroni, 98 Points
